The Open Path is a collaboration between Scottish artist, designer and musician Tommy Perman and designer Simon Lewin. Tommy was a co-founder of the artist collective and experimental pop group FOUND, and has created several award-winning installations, including Cybraphon (2009), an interactive robot sculpture that premiered at the Edinburgh International Festival in August of 2009, won a Scottish BAFTA a few months later, and is now housed in the permanent collection of the National Museum of Scotland.
'Ganner Dub' is taken from the forthcoming Blackford Hill compilation 'Transmissions / Volume One', a 2 x CD plus book. Twenty-five musicians/bands have kindly contributed including Lomond Campbell, Hanna Tuulikki, Rob St John, Kate Carr, Emily Scott, Ultramarine, Andrew Wasylyk, King Creosote, Liz Lochhead and Richard Youngs.
